Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
1. Service Description
ChainEvidence provides automated blockchain tracing and evidence-report generation. When you submit a Bitcoin address or transaction hash, our platform analyses on-chain activity, correlates it with publicly available data sources, and produces a structured investigation report. These reports are intended to support law-enforcement filings, insurance claims, and personal record-keeping.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree to use ChainEvidence only for lawful purposes. You must not submit fraudulent or intentionally misleading information, file false reports, or use the service to harass, defame, or infringe upon the rights of any third party. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these terms.
3. Payment Terms
Prices are listed in USD for US customers and EUR for EU customers. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By completing a purchase you authorize us to charge the stated amount to your chosen payment method. Once a report has been delivered, the payment is considered final and non-refundable, except as described in our Refund Policy. You are responsible for any taxes or duties that may apply in your jurisdiction.
4. No Recovery Guarantee
ChainEvidence is an investigative tool, not a fund-recovery service. We provide evidence and analysis that may assist in pursuing stolen or misappropriated cryptocurrency, but we do not guarantee the recovery of any funds. Outcomes depend on factors outside our control, including the cooperation of exchanges, law-enforcement agencies, and the nature of the on-chain activity itself.
5. Automated Analysis
All investigation reports, including summaries, evidence analyses, and forensic narratives, are generated using automated systems, including artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. While we strive for accuracy, automated analysis may contain errors, incomplete conclusions, or misinterpretations of on-chain data. Reports are not a substitute for professional legal, financial, or investigative advice. You should independently verify any findings before relying on them in legal proceedings, insurance claims, or financial decisions. ChainEvidence does not provide legal advice, and no report should be construed as such.
6. Limitation of Liability
The service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ChainEvidence's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service shall not exceed the total fees you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
7. Data Retention
Investigation data, including submitted addresses, generated reports, and associated metadata, is retained for one (1) year from the date of creation. After this period, all investigation data is permanently deleted from our systems. Payment records may be retained longer to comply with applicable legal and accounting requirements.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ChainEvidence operates. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in that jurisdiction.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where practical, by sending a notice to the email address associated with your account. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
